We are a bookish mother daughter duo. I get comfort in seeing when my daughter holds a book and brings it to me to read. And oh did I just mention that we have recently started reading ? Alhamdulillah.While ending our topic of English phonics alphabets (more on that in a separate blogpost insha Allah) we started doing CVC words just the basic ones to see where do we stand. The basic spellings and the simpler ones that I believed we would kick off.
Like the “ginger cat sat on a mat”. How so funny.
Interestingly we would do the hide the letters and then reveal them through the tab kind book. Then finally with the basic Sight words to initiate the reading process the sentences begin to form. Alhamdulillah
As much as we like to read below is a list of our 10 favourite books that I have compiled ;
The Way to Jannah by Yasmin Musa

This book by learning roots has been our favourite. It has a son and a mother’s main characters and spreads out as a conversation between the two. The mother responses finally what it really makes to get to the Jannah. Profound yet concised it helps learn daily adiyah to the young kid.
